The three suspects involved in a high-speed car chase in Bago City last week have tested positive for illegal drugs.

In a radio interview, Deputy Bago City Police Operations chief, Police Inspector Leonil Adolacion, said 25-year-old Michael Salgado, 25-year-old Mary Rose Nogales, and 23-year-old Jeaner Nogales, all residents of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, were subject to drug testing.

After testing positive, Adolacion said the suspects were charged with possession and use of illegal drugs.

Last week, the suspects were arrested after reportedly speeding off despite Bago City police ordering them to stop.

Bago City police eventually stopped the suspects after shooting at the vehicle, hitting the van’s rear window.

A search of the vehicle yielded five plastic sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia./DGB, WDJ
