A newly-identified drug personality and a high-value drug target were arrested Wednesday evening following a buy-bust operation at Zone 5 in Barangay 6, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the arrested as 40-year-old Gerry Magallanes and 28-year-old James Dimson, both residents of the said area.
Victorias City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Eduardo Corpuz, said Magallanes is a newly-identified drug suspect, while Dimson is considered a level 1 high-value target and is named on the city’s drugs watchlist.
Police immediately moved in on the suspects after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P400.
A search yielded one small, one medium, and four elongated sachets of suspected shabu, with a market value of P5,000.
Police also recovered drug paraphernalia and suspected drug money amounting to P370.
Both suspects are facing illegal drugs charges and are presently detained at the Victorias City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
