Tricycle operator injured following collision in Bago City

Vehicles collided as tricycle was overlapping lanes

A tricycle operator was injured Wednesday night after colliding with a motorcycle along the highway at Purok Masagana in Barangay Napoles, Bago City.
Police identified the injured driver as 30-year-old Walter Gaviola, a resident of the said barangay.
Bago City police traffic investigators said 42-year-old motorcyclist Hernane Mugar, a resident of Barangay Lag-asan and also of the said city, was in the proper lane heading east when he was bumped by Gaviola’s tricycle, which was overlapping the opposite lane.
Mugar managed to emerge unscathe, while Gaviola suffered a head injury and was immediately rushed to the Bago City District Hospital, and later to the Bacolod South General Hospital.
Mugar was later brought to the Bago City Police Station following the incident, while the tricycle and motorcycle were temporarily impounded by police./DGB, WDJ
