Gelina Luceño of Bacolod City will be a part of the National University (NU) ladies’ volleyball team when the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball season kicks off on February 16.
“I am really blessed to be part of the NU Lady Bulldogs,” she said. “Being recruited by NU is a great opportunity for me.”
The former Bacolod Tay Tung High School and St. John’s Institute standout is one of several rookies, including Ilongga Princess Anne Robles.
“I need to work hard to show [head coach Norman Miguel] was right in inserting me [into] the team,” Luceño added. “I am happy to be able to share my talent with the team and to help them in any capacity.”/ASC, WDJ
