Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III recently turned over two “tri-bikes” to the City Agriculturist Office, which will be used to monitor the city’s cleanliness and maintenance of beautification elements.

“We want to make sure the city [is giving] attention to watering ornamental plants,” the mayor said. “As summer season is about to come, we don’t want our plants to wither.”

City Agriculturist Romulo Pangantihon pointed out how the vehicles could be used to reduce cases of damage with regard to the plants.

“We can minimize the destruction of plants, particularly those [at] jeepney stops,” he explained.

The city official also said the public needs to be made aware of such developments./WDJ
