A teenager was left with several burns after being reportedly electrocuted Monday afternoon by an open electrical wire along Hernaez Street in Bacolod City.

The victim was identified as 17-year-old Jessabell Sabio, a resident of Bangga Cory in the city’s Barangay Taculing.

According to Sabio, she was walking along a sidewalk with her classmates when a truck passed by and clipped the electrical line causing it to break off.

The wire then struck Sabio in the face and hand.

She was immediately rushed to a hospital following the incident and is currently being treated for electrical burns./DGB, WDJ
