NLEX Road Warriors guard Kevin Alas’ return to the court did not last long as he was ruled out for the season after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during a rebound play in his team’s 87-83 win over the Meralco Bolts in the 2019 Honda PBA Philippine Cup over the weekend at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

“This is a tough situation for me, but tough times don’t last,” the injured player said in a statement. “I even did all I could to prevent this from happening again.”

“I honestly don’t know the plans of God for me but I trust our Lord God Almighty that he is preparing me for something greater and bigger,” he added.
