UNegA to announce senatorial bets soon

United Negros Alliance (UNegA) secretary-general, Board Member Salvador Escalante, Jr., said the local political coalition will soon announced their 12 senatorial bets in the upcoming 2019 midterm elections.

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., who chairs the coalition, earlier named incumbent senators Cynthia Villar, Sonny Angara, Grace Poe; former Senator Mar Roxas; and former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go among the candidates he is endorsing.

Escalante affirmed the five named are among the candidates they will be supporting.

Last year, UNEgA and rival political coalition, Love Negros, announced their merger for the upcoming polls./DGB, WDJ
