San Miguel Alab Pilipinas won 100-81 over the Macau Black Bears in the 2018-2019 ASEAN Basketball League last Tuesday at the Doumen Gymnasium in China.

Renaldo Balkman led the win with 34 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks; while fellow Puerto Rican import Peter John Ramos added 25.

Holding a slim 26-23 lead at the end of first quarter, the Philippines distanced themselves from Macau in the second quarter with Balkman pouring on 10 markers for a 52-41 halftime lead.

Macau got close as 56-52 early in the third period but the Philippine squad countered with an 11-5 run, capped by a dunk from Brandon Rosser for a 67-57 advantage.

With the home team struggling in offense, the Philippines leaned on inside hits by Balkman and Ramos to reach its biggest lead of the game at 85-64 following a layup by Lorenzo Domingo./ASC, WDJ
