After ending the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup with a 3-8 record, finishing in 10th place, James Yap believes the result is driving the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the ongoing 2019 Honda PBA Philippine Cup, who have started their campaign with a 2-0 record.

“Nung na-out kami last conference, ‘di naman namin makakalimutan yun (We don’t forget that we were out last conference),” said the Escalante City native. “Every practice, nakikita ko lahat kami focused kasi kailangan bumawi; alam namin lahat ng player kung anong pakiramdam nung ma-out (Every practice, I see we’re all focused because we have to come back; we know what it feels like to be out).”

After picking up wins against NLEX Road Warriors and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings, Rain or Shine faces Blackwater Elite tonight at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, San Miguel Beermen on Friday at Ynares Center in Antipolo City, and the Alaska Aces on Sunday at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City./ASC, WDJ
