A mentally ill man was found dead by bystanders yesterday morning along Manalo Street in the Bacolod City’s Shopping area, part of Barangay 17.

Police identified the victim by the alias ‘Jun-jun.’

Based on the eyewitness accounts, the victim, who was said to have been suffering from mental illness, was found beside a restaurant.

The initial post-mortem examination did not find any wounds on the victim’s body.

Investigators are expected to conduct an additional autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, the body is temporarily interred at Abe Funeral Homes awaiting the victim’s family to claim the remains./DGB, WDJ
