Gelvolea: Turnover was supposed to happen last year

The Mambukal Convention Hotel, located within the Negros Occidental provincial government-operated Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia, is expected to be completed and turned over to provincial government before the annual Panaad sa Negros Festival in April.

According to acting Provincial Administrator, Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, the hotel contractor is currently finishing up minor details, which include repairs from an earlier roof collapse in the facility’s kitchen area.

She noted, the turnover was supposed to take place last year, but there was a separate contractor hired for the air conditioning system and elevator.

The provincial official said, once completed, the hotel will be a “big boost to tourism in the province.”/DGB, WDJ
