4Ps beneficiaries in Anini-y take part in ‘backyard gardening’

Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Baranagay Igabarabatuan, Anini-y, Antique were recently provided training on high value crop production as a means of increasing profitability for community farming.

Aside from training, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program, 4Ps beneficiaries were also provided with starter kits, along with seeds from the Department of Agriculture.

Among the crops being cultivated include tomatoes, papaya, string beans, okra, among others.

Anini-y municipal link Ria Mae Nualda noted, home gardens have saved money for local households. It has also helped in combating malnutrition./WDJ
