A newly-identified drug personality was arrested Saturday morning following a buy-bust operation at Purok Balinday in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.
Police identified the suspect as 21-year-old Romeo ‘Tomas’ Araiz, a resident of the said area.
Police Station 2 (PS2) commander, Police Senior Inspector Leo Estopa, said they arrested Araiz after he handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P200.
A search of the suspect yielded a total six sachets of suspected shabu, the P200 marked money, and a loaded .38 caliber revolver with three live units of ammunition.
Aside from drug-related charges, Araiz also faces illegal possession of firearms charges and violations of the Commission on Elections gun ban./DGB, WDJ
