A 29-year-old man was left in critical condition on Wednesday after he was shot repeatedly by a still-unidentified gunman at Sitio Sibucao in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.

Police identified the victim as Alcid John Perales, a resident of Purok Bayanihan in the said barangay.

Based on eyewitness accounts given to Police Station 3 investigators, Perales was shot by a gunman who was aboard a van.

The suspect immediately fled after the shooting, while bystanders rushed Perales to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital after sustaining two gunshot wounds to the chest and an additional three bullet wounds to his back.

Police are presently looking into a motive behind the shooting, along with the identity of the assailant./DGB, WDJ
