Megaworld Iloilo Business Park to host 19 events

The Megaworld Iloilo Business Park is set to host 19 events of the ongoing Iloilo Dinagyang Festival.

Most notably, the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang beauty pageant will be held on Friday, January 25, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Casa de Emperador.

“We are proud to have the pageant here because it has always been among the biggest highlights of the Dinagyang Festival,” said Megaworld Vice President for Sales and Marketing Jennifer Palmares-Fong. “We look forward to hosting the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang here in our township for more years to come.”

Among other events includes the Dinagyang Warriors Parade, which begins on Friday at the Festive Walk Mall.

The Festive Walk Parade will play host to several events including the Dinagyang Lights Parade on Saturday, which will feature 20 floats, and will be followed by the Dinagyang Fireworks Display; local rock group Urbandub will perform tonight, while indie band Ransom Collective takes the stage tomorrow – both shows begin at 11:00 p.m.; the GMA Kapuso Mall Show begins tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.; and the strEAT Party Food Festival, which opens today and runs until January 27.

Meanwhile, along Megaworld Boulevard, revelers can experience the Philippine Airlines Dinagyang Party, which begins tonight at 5:00 p.m.; along with the Viva Music Festival, which will run from January 25 to 27 and feature appearances by rock group Kamikazee, international DJ Jetfire, and celebrities Nadine Lustre and James Reid.

The Honda Riders Meet Up with Orange and Lemons begins on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., Ely Buendia headlines The Apartel that same day, and Up Dharma Down is scheduled to perform on Sunday.

There is also the ongoing Dinagyang Festival Sale taking place at the Festive Walk Mall, Festive Walk Parade, and Festive Walk Annex./WDJ
