After defending his World Boxing Association welterweight belt last Sunday over Adrien Broner, Senator Manny Pacquiao called out rival Floyd Mayweather, Jr. saying he is more than ready to meet in the ring again.
“Tell him to come back to the ring and we will fight,” Pacquiao said after retaining his welterweight title. “I’m willing to fight [Floyd Mayweather] again.”
“If he’s willing to come back,” he added.
Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe, however, revealed Mayweather is not interested in a rematch.
“He is not interested,” he affirmed. “He has nothing else to prove.”
“He’s living his best life, travelling, running his multiple businesses, spending his hard-earned winnings,” the CEO added. “It’s not always about the money.”
The two last met in 2015, where the Las Vegas-native won via unanimous decision./ASC, WDJ
