Negrense Mark Nonoy had another solid outing for the University of Santo Tomas (UST) as they cruised to an 80-65 win over the University of the Philippines-Integrated School (UPIS) in UAAP Season 81 juniors basketball last Sunday at the San Juan Arena.

The La Carlota City native tallied his third triple-double of the season with 30 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists.

UPIS managed to keep pace with UST in the first two quarters to take a slim 32-30 halftime edge. UST found their bearings in the third but found themselves only slightly ahead, going into the fourth up 52-49.

The game was still tight in the final frame until UST rode on Nonoy’s heroics, unleashing a huge 15-2 run capped by free throws by Bismark Lina to clinch the win.
