The Negros Occidental Highway Patrol Group (HPG) said they plan to intensify “Task Force: Discipline Zone” by further strengthening their drive against road obstructions in Bacolod City.
During a recent radio interview, HPG-Negros Occidental chief, Police Senior Inspector Robelito Mariano, said they conducted another clearing operation along Burgos Avenue last Thursday to ensure the national highway and sidewalks in the area are clear.
They have also conducted operations along Araneta Street in Barangay Sum-ag, as well as other major thoroughfares throughout the city.
Mariano said they are continuing to issue citation tickets to motorists committing traffic violations, such as those illegally parked along the national highway.
He added, the task force aims to provide motorists with at least four to six lanes of traffic as a means of solving the city’s traffic problems./DGB, WDJ
