Philippine Army 303rd Infantry Brigade (303IB) commander, Colonel Benedict Arevalo, yesterday urged the Negros Occidental local government units to jointly condemn atrocities committed by the New People’s Army (NPA).

In a radio interview, Arevalo said locales throughout the province should condemn any NPA actions against the government and populace.

Arevalo said the army in the province supports calls by Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Benjamin Madrigal, Jr., declaring NPA leaders “persona non grata.”

He added, the declaration shows their cause is both for the people and the government./DGB, WDJ
