Richlyn Joy Villalobos won Tourism Teen Ambassadress of Western Visayas, a special award given by the Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6), during Miss Teen Iloilo 2018 coronation night, which took place last week at SM City Iloilo in Iloilo City’s Mandurriao district.

The winner beat nine other contestants, earning a sash, certificate, P5,000, and a monthly honorarium.

“She will be involved in youth related-programs, promotional campaigns, and travel and trade fairs,” explained DOT-6 director, Atty. Helen J. Catalbas. “She can initiate her own programs and projects provided that these are aligned with the DOT’s mandate to promote and develop the country’s tourism industry.”

Villalobos also won Miss Friendship.
