President Rodrigo Duterte signed a bill last month establishing a Land Transportation Office (LTO) District Office in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.

The law, which was authored by Negros Occidental sixth district Rep. Mercedes Alvarez, instructs the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to establish an LTO District Office in Sipalay City and to include funding in the annual General Appropriations Act.

After being signed into law on December 14, DOTr was given 60 days to issue rules and regulations for the act’s implementation./DGB, WDJ
