Three people, one of which was a minor, were hospitalized late Monday night after engaging in a drunken brawl at Hacienda Plamar in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the individuals as Hernan Batonisan and Jonabel Bili-ot, while the minor’s identity was withheld.
Based on a report by La Carlota City police, the three were having a drink at Batonisan’s house when a fist fight erupted following a misunderstanding.
Another individual present at the time, Reneboy Bili-ot, tried to appease the situation as Batonisan ran and picked up a long stick, Jonabel armed himself with a long knife, and the minor picked up a broken bottle.
The three resumed fighting with Jonabel allegedly hacking Batonisan on the right knee, while the minor stabbed Jonabel in the left abdomen.
The fight was eventually pacified and three were rushed to the La Carlota City District Hospital for medical treatment. Jonabel and Batonisan were later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional in Bacolod City.
The minor, meanwhile, was referred to the Women and Children’s Protection Desk of the La Carlota City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
