The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) marketing and promotions team was in Iloilo City this week for a tourism meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions (MICE) facilities and products validation.

“MICE organizers are attracted to the variety of activities Iloilo City can offer delegates; from natural and cultural attractions to scenic view and delectable cuisines,” explained Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6) director, Atty. Helen J. Catalbas. “Iloilo City is growing in terms of tourism facilities, attractions, and connectivity to other regions of the country.”

According to DOT-6, the city is considered as the next top MICE destination.

“MICE activities also open various opportunities for neighboring provinces, such as Guimaras, Antique, and Capiz to showcase their tourism products and attractions,” she added.

The TPB team inspected various MICE facilities and visited local tourist attractions./WD
