CDRRMO urges safety ahead of today’s opening events

With the Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2019 set to conduct opening events today at the newly-constructed Dinagyang Grandstand, located along Muelle Loney Street, the Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) urged safety and advised the public of road closures starting at 1:00 p.m.

“Do not insist on entering roads that are closed to traffic,” stated CDRRMO emergency response head Darwin Joemil Papa. “It will create congestion.”

The eight tribes participating in this year’s Ati tribes competition, scheduled to take place on January 27, are set to present a sneak peek of the competition.

Meanwhile, eight ambulances will be deployed throughout the city to attend to any emergency./WDJ
