A portion of the newly-built Mambukal Mountain Resort Convention Hotel, located within the Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia, has reportedly collapsed.

Based on details obtained by various media outlets, the incident occurred yesterday morning around 2:00 a.m.

The Provincial Engineer’s Office has yet to confirm the incident as of press time, although initial information also revealed no one was injured as the establishment, although completed, was still unoccupied.

The facility has not yet been turned over to the Negros Occidental provincial government, which maintains the resort facility.

The resort was among the province’s “priority projects,” which were financed through a P680 million borrowed by the provincial government./DGB, WDJ
