A new flight route between Kalibo International Airport and Kunming Changshui International Airport in Kunming City, China will be inaugurated today, with flights scheduled to run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

“New direct flights from China to Kalibo mean more tourists for Boracay and other parts of Western Visayas,” said Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6) director, Atty. Helen J. Catalbas.

The Aklan hub also has other existing routes to China, including Nanning and Changsha, which were both inaugurated last month.

“DOT-6 is continuously conducting seminars and trainings to prepare and equip tourism stakeholders for the growing demand of the international tourism market in terms of tourism products and services,” she added./WDJ
