A security guard was wounded after he was reportedly shot by riding-in-tandem suspects Friday afternoon at Purok Katumbal in Barangay 5, Bacolod City.

Police identified the victim as Rolando Herdon, Jr., a native of Talisay City, Negros Occidental and temporarily residing in Bacolod City’s Barangay Alangilan.

Police Station 2 (PS2) commander, Police Senior Inspector Leo Estopa, said Herdon was riding his motorcycle and was heading to his workplace when he was shot by the still-unidentified suspects.

The suspects immediately sped away while Herdon was rushed to the Riverside Medical Center, where he underwent emergency surgery for gunshot wounds.

Police recovered two empty .45 caliber shells from the crime scene.

Estopa added, an investigation into the incident is ongoing and they currently have a person of interest./DGB, WDJ
