Two brothers were recently arrested after anti-drug operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and Police Station 7 (PS7) conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok Gaison in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.

Police identified the two as Rogelio and Ricky Villanueva, both residents of the said community.

CDEU head, Police Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, said the two were on their drugs watchlist and were placed under surveillance last year.

Police recovered seven big and six elongated sachets of suspected shabu, along with a fragmentation grenade and a .45 caliber pistol.

CDEU estimated the value of the illicit substances at P420,000.

The two face criminal charges and are currently detained at PS7./DGB, WDJ
