A 10-year-old girl was rushed to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic last Tuesday after she was allegedly raped by her father’s drinking buddy.

Police have refused to identify the girl, who reportedly suffered bleeding following the incident.

Based on investigations by Cadiz City police, the victim’s father invited the suspect, whom police have also refused to identify, for a drink at their house to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

While they were drinking, the victim approached the suspect and asked him for money, to which the suspect agreed.

However, once the suspect became inebriated, he allegedly entered the victim’s room and assaulted her.

Police immediately conducted a follow-up operation, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest.

The assailant denied the rape allegations but admitted to touching the minor.

The suspect is presently detained at the Cadiz City Police Station and faces sexual assault charges./DGB, WDJ
