The remains of a woman, believed to be between 16 and 18 years of age, were discovered last Saturday in an abandoned building located along Lacson Street in Barangay 7, Bacolod City.
Police have yet to identify the victim, who was found in an advanced state of decomposition.
Based on a report released by investigators, the remains were uncovered around 2:00 p.m. by a scrapper.
Days prior to the discovery, street cleaners had been complaining of a foul odor near the area where the remains were found.
Police are presently investigating if the victim was raped as her underwear was down and t-shirt was raised up above the chest.
The victim was also said to have a long hair.
Cops had not received any reports of a missing person in Bacolod City this month, although they are verifying if the remains match reports from last October during the MassKara Festival./DGB, WDJ
