A purok chairwoman and a fellow resident were arrested last Sunday following a buy-bust operation at Purok Cereza 1 in Barangay 27, Bacolod City.

Police identified the suspects as Purok Chairwoman Julie Fe Amihan and Erlinda Ubas, both residents of the said community.

Police Station 4 (PS4) anti-drug operatives said they recovered a total of five sachets of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money from the suspects.

The two denied the allegations and claimed police “forcefully entered” and they were immediately cuffed.

Ubas admitted to selling illegal drugs in the past but insisted she recently stopped, while Amihan said she was only selling “combo.”

Both are presently detained at PS4 on drug-related charges./DGB, WDJ
