A security guard was found dead inside the guard house he was stationed at along 3rd Road-Burgos Street in Bacolod City.

Police identified the fatality as Joebert Sonio, a resident of the said city and assigned as a blue guard for a store.

Based on the statement provided by Sonio’s wife, the victim was on duty from 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday until 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

However, when cops examined the remains, they did not find any wounds.

In addition, an inventory of the items inside the guard house also found his service firearm was still present.

Investigators later concluded there was no foul play and the victim may have died from natural causes./DGB, WDJ
