The Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP) recently held its annual year-end assembly, which attracted over 400 scholars to the Benjamin Hall in Bacolod City.

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. addressed the event, saying education is the “only solution” to poverty.

Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson also addressed those gathered and said he hopes the number of scholars increases in succeeding years.

Also present for the event were NOSP Division head Karen Dinsay, Provincial Board Member Pedro Zayco Jr., among others./WDJ
