Ferrer vows find ways for the national government to provide more money
By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga
Former Negros Occidental fourth district Congressman Jeffrey Ferrer, who is running unopposed for Negros Occidental vice governor in the upcoming 2019 midterm elections, recently vowed to carry on the programs of his predecessor, incumbent Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, who is seeking the governorship in next year’s polls.
Speaking during a Christmas party for officials from the Negros Occidental fourth congressional district over the weekend in La Carlota City, the vice gubernatorial aspirant said he would find a way to urge the national government to provide more funds for Negros Occidental.
Ferrer is running unopposed after independent candidate Raul Sayson Baterna withdrew his candidacy for vice governor last month.
Earlier this year, both Lacson and Ferrer, under the presumption of running unopposed, vowed to campaign regardless. However, Lacson still faces Atty. Rolandon Parpa in his race for governor./DGB, WDJ
