A newly-identified drug personality was arrested Wednesday morning, December 12, after he was allegedly caught trying to break open a food cart in Barangay Bagumbayan, Valladolid, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspect as 28-year-old John Paul Jayme, a resident of Barangay Sagua Banua in the said town.

Based on a report released by the Valladolid Municipal Police Station, the food cart owner, Rosie dela Cruz, visited their station after she saw Jayme allegedly prying open her food cart at the nearby public plaza.

Police immediately invited Jayme to their station for questioning.

While inside the police station, Police Officer 3 Albert Estilloso noticed Jayme drop something from his left pocket while sitting. He immediately approached the suspect and discovered he dropped an elongated sachet of suspected shabu.

The cop immediately arrested Jayme.

A search of the suspect also yielded drug paraphernalia.

Jayme faces possession of illegal drugs charges and is detained at the Valladolid Municipal Police Station./DGB, WDJ
