Bago City recognized for rice program

The Bago City government was recently recognized at the Pagdayaw 2018 Regional Excellence in Local Governance ceremony in Iloilo City earlier this week. The event was organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

The city was named “Champion in Economic Governance” for its rice development program.

The program was also named “Most Innovative Best Practice in Economic Governance.”

Meanwhile, Bago City took second in environmental governance for its Kahoy Sang Kabuhi Project and its Disaster Resiliency Youth Volunteers won third place in terms of “Excellence in Social Governance.”

In addition, the city was named the second best performing city in the Western Visayas./WDJ
