The body of an unidentified female minor was found by local residents early yesterday morning along the coastline of Barangay Bulwangan in Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.

Based on reports by Hinoba-an municipal police, former Barangay Kagawad Samson Gajardo notified their station after finding the body of a girl floating around 600 meters away from the seashore.

Police immediately visited the area to investigate.

One of the fishermen, identified as Larry Villasin, told police he found the girl floating while he was fishing. He then retrieved the girl’s remains and reported the incident to Gajardo.

Police determined the victim was between three to four years of age.

The remains are due to be examined by a local coroner to determine the cause of death./DGB, WDJ
