The Negros Occidental provincial government canceled plans to lease office space at the Philippine National Bank (PNB) building, located along Lacson Street in Bacolod City.

The said space was expected to be occupied by provincial offices affected by the Provincial Administration Building demolition.

Acting Provincial Administrator, Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, said plans were canceled because of the high lease price set by the PNB.

She said they will find other suitable locations, such as in the Negros First CyberCentre, which is also located along Lacson Street; and the St. Francis Building, located along Araneta Street.

Meanwhile, other offices will be transferred to Benjamin Hall, located at 4th-Lacson Streets./DGB, WDJ
