Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. recently signed the resolution forwarded by the Provincial Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE), who are seeking the release of the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive bonus.

PACE Treasurer Ruben Diamante said they hope all requirements are fulfilled in order to release the incentive.

Acting Provincial Administrator, Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, earlier noted it is unclear if CNA cash incentives or other awards would be disbursed as they must ensure compliance with Department of Budget and Management (DBM) regulations.

Diamante said he is sure releasing the said bonuses would not break any regulations.

Meanwhile, Gelvolea said the provincial government is presently scrambling as they process payrolls.

She added, if the CNA bonus is cleared, employees would not receive amounts lower than what was disbursed last year, which was around P40,000.

According to DBM guidelines, incentives would be available for government offices that have accomplished and implemented at least 70 percent of their programs and projects as of September 30.

Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado earlier stated, the deadline used to be October 31./DGB, WDJ
