A suspected drug personality managed to elude capture during a recent Police Station 2 (PS2) buy-bust operation at Purok Cagaycay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

Police identified the subject of the operation as 23-year-old Charlito Sayon, a resident of the said area.

Although Sayon escaped, authorities managed to arrest 28-year-old Ernie Olido, who was allegedly caught using illegal drugs during the operation.

PS2 deputy commander, Police Inspector Florentino Abalayan, said Sayon escaped by jumping from a window after learning he was dealing with an undercover police officer.

Cops recovered two big and two elongated sachets of suspected shabu during the operation, along with drug paraphernalia.

Abalayan estimated the value of the seized illicit substances at P100,000.

Cops are now conducting a follow-up operation against Sayon, while Olido is detained at PS2 on drug-related charges./DGB, WDJ
