According to the Negros Occidental provincial government, an individual is reportedly collecting money from locals with the expectation of a government job in exchange.
In a statement released by the provincial government, acting Provincial Administrator, Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, affirmed nobody has been authorized to conduct such activity.
She added, in terms of employment, those matters are handled by the Provincial Human Resource Management Office.
Last month, the provincial government warned local food establishments of unauthorized transactions involving customers using the Governor’s Office to reserve and pay for food.
In response, Gelvolea said the provincial government does not tolerate such actions and informed restaurant owners only personnel and staff of the Governor’s Office can authorize such transactions./WDJ
