First Festival of Lights held in Bacolod City

Bacolod City celebrated its first Festival of Lights over the weekend, where a switch-on ceremony was held to light up Christmas decorations around the Bacolod Public Plaza.

Events began with a parade of lights along Lacson Street, led by students from STI-West Negros University.

Participants carry colorful lanterns depicting various sea life in an effort to support the preservation of marine life.

Present for the event were Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, Lone District Representative Greg Gasataya, City Councilor Em Ang, City Administrator John Orola, among others./WDJ
