The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) recently recognized the Tchoukball Association of the Philippines (TAP) as a national sports association.
“[As] a member of the POC family, we can be assured of its full support [for the sport],” said TAP President Raymund Jamelo. “POC recognition gives us the confidence to push for our projects.”
He added, a tchoukball demonstration is expected for the upcoming Palarong Panlalawigan.
“We are looking forward to [presenting] the sport in the upcoming Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association meet in Capiz and Palarong Pambansa in Davao next year,” Jamelo said.
Meanwhile, the World Sikaran Brotherhood of the Philippines, Philippine Floorball Association, and United Philippine Surfing Association were also recently recognized by the POC./JSG, WDJ
