According to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO), a total of 28 drug personalities were arrested across the province in a matter of one week, between November 19 and 26.

The 28 suspects were collared from 16 localities, with 25 identified as dealers and three as users.

In addition, one minor was also apprehended.

According to NOPPO director, Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr., the arrests were a result of an intensified campaign conducted to stop the spread of criminality in the province, which he said often comes from illegal drug use.

He added, the arrests yielded 29.4509 grams of illegal drugs with a market value of P313,989./DGB, WDJ
