The Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas (TUP-Visayas) in Talisay City, Negros Occidental recently hosted the first technology convention in the province at the school’s gymnasium where a number of innovations were presented.

Among the fields covered during the convention included robotics and industrial process control, semiconductor processing, laser technology, automation, facilities management and industrial marking, among others.

The event sought to bring such technology to the province in order to keep pace with growing industry demands.

According to a press release regarding the convention, “Technology presents great opportunities in the improvement of human life and as it progresses.”

The event was organized by the TUP-Visayas Alumni Association and the Luzon chapter of the TUP-Visayas Technician Institute Alumni Association./WDJ
