During a recent barangay forum at the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol Social Hall, the Department of Energy (DOE) offered tips on energy conservation.

According to DOE Energy Industry Management Division officer-in-charge, Engr. Jose Rey Maleza, there are several ways to responsibly reduce energy consumption.

He suggested ironing on a weekly basis, checking the refrigerator door for leaks, and unplugging appliances not be used.

DOE said such practices will reduce energy consumption and lower electric bills.
