Binalbagan is the sole Negros municipality awarded

The Department of the Interior and Local Government formally awarded Binalbagan the 2018 Seal of Good Local Governance. The town is the only Negros municipality to be conferred the honor this year.

The Western Visayas earned a total of 37 awards, 17 of which went to municipalities.

Binalbagan Mayor Emmanuel Aranda personally received the award during a ceremony earlier this month at the Manila Hotel.

Also representing the town were Sangguniang Bayan Members Gaudencio F. Baja, Jr. and Cris Morano, Municipal Engineer Patrick V. Mabag, and Ma. Catherine A. Baltazar./WDJ
