Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. returned yesterday from a five-day educational tour in Taiwan.

While in Taiwan, he visited fish and fruit farms in the country’s Kaohsiung and Pingtung counties, along with attending the International Agriculture Show and International Fisheries and Seafood Show at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center in Kaohsiung City.

The governor, who was joined by agri-businessmen visited a wholesale market and took part in a briefing on cooperative development.

Kaohsiung County, located in the southern part of the island, is known for producing guavas, mangoes, and pineapple./DGB, WDJ
