Gasataya: Third flyover will ‘significantly help’ decongest traffic

By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga

Bacolod City lone district Rep. Greg Gasataya over the weekend revealed the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed their feasibility study for the city’s third flyover project.

According to Gasataya, the study is currently awaiting submission to the National Economic and Development Authority.

The study looked into the possible construction of a flyover at the intersection of Burgos Street and Circumferential Road, Bangga Cory along Libertad Extension, and C.L. Montelibano Avenue.

The congressman said the third flyover will be constructed as “one solid post” and will be similar to the Metro Manila Skyway.

Currently, there are two flyovers in the city, one along Bangga Pepsi in Barangay Bata and the other along Araneta Street in Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Gasataya added, the third flyover will significantly help in decongesting traffic./DGB, WDJ
